Martz do Nascimento (1997, Bilbao) is a visual artist trained in muralism and holds a Master’s degree in Painting from the University of the Basque Country. His work investigates the tension between image and matter through a process that moves fluidly between drawing, digital experimentation, and painting.

Beginning with drawings on paper, he subjects images to multiple digital treatments before translating them back into painterly form. This back-and-forth allows each stage to transform the next, generating friction between the organic and the geometric, as well as between the handmade and the industrial. Rather than resolving these oppositions, his practice embraces instability as an active force.

Painting functions as a site of negotiation in which material decisions remain visible and meaning is continuously renegotiated through process, collision, and transformation.
