Open Call New Talents 2024

Lilian Mühlenkamp Winner

Lilian Mühlenkamps abstract works on self-framed large sized canvases explore controlled free-flow by using a vibrant technique of color application. In her creative process tension between aleatory (randomly) and openly forming moments of inviting randomness and precise guidance of the material is omnipresent. To only let the paint and water flow, wouldn’t be challenging enough. To create something out of it, to shape, frame it and “communicate” with it is the most interesting part of the act of painting.

Open Call New Talents 2025

Malwin Faber Winner

Faber’s painting explores the tension between gestural abstraction and geometric precision. His compositions evoke a sense of rhythm and movement, reminiscent of musical improvisation, where dynamic expression meets structural clarity. Through experimental monotype techniques and intricate layering, he creates spatial depth and visual complexity. By extending his work into physical space with objects and installations, Faber opens up a dialogue between image and environment.

OPEN CALL KUNST/MITTE

Stanislaus Hergert | Heike Weber | Yim Young Ju Winners

The three winners of the KUNST/MITTE Open Call were presented along side the New & Abstract artists at our booth during KUNST/MITTE Magdeburg in August. Together, they showcased a wide spectrum of contemporary positions – from painting and drawing to installation-based works. The focus of the booth was on Landscape and Memory. A diverse selection of abstract works was presented – from collages to art created with artificial intelligence – brought to life through Augmented Reality, offering visitors an immediate and immersive experience.
