How did you get into art?
I started painting since I was a child. My toys were boxes of markers, colors and paints. I always knew that I wanted to be a painter.
How would you describe your style? What makes your work special?
I think I have created a very particular style and process of my own production, where I make small models with a lot of material that I use as a model to paint in large oil formats.
How do you go about developing your work?
I start from an abstract model but when it is represented on the canvas, the painting becomes realism... I think... I don't like to pigeonhole my work into a specific style.
Who or what influences you?
My influences are very broad, I am very interested in both action painting and abstract expressionism. The three-dimensional painting of Donald Martiny or Jason Martin. I am also influenced by numerous Spanish artists and figuration.
In my painting I have united my two passions, art and nature. My paintings try to talk about the countryside, the land tilled by the tractor and the dips that a rainy day causes in the road.
Make us curious. What are you planning to do next?
Paint, paint and paint. I try not to plan and that the projects Let them come and take me by surprise.
