Marco Wachsmuth

Marco Wachsmuth lives and works in Berlin and his painting moves in the field of lyrical abstraction. He develops his pictures in direct dialogue with colour – without preparatory sketches, open to chance, failure and new approaches. Abstract surfaces and sparse realistic details interpenetrate to form a multi-layered visual language that oscillates between memory and the present, structure and dissolution. This creates spaces of resonance that do not convey unambiguous messages, but invite the viewer to discover their own associations and inner landscapes.
