Micaella Cervinscaia
Born 1987 in Chișinău, Moldova, Micaella Cervinscaia’s abstract works are rich, tactile explorations of surface, emotion, and materiality. Her paintings are composed using acrylic, resin, wood, and found objects, forming layered textures that invite not only visual engagement but also a physical response. Each piece is an intuitive expression – a direct translation of inner states into color, form, and texture.
Raised in a creatively vibrant environment – with a grandmother who painted and a mother deeply involved in the performing arts – Cervinscaia’s artistic sensibility developed early. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Art History and German Studies, equipping her with a critical eye and a deep understanding of visual culture.
Before fully dedicating herself to her own practice, Cervinscaia worked for several years in art education and mediation, helping diverse audiences connect with contemporary and historical art. This experience continues to shape her approach, infusing her works with narrative depth and emotional resonance.
Each canvas is a sensory and emotional landscape – raw, honest, and open. Cervinscaia invites viewers to slow down, to feel, and to engage with the quiet power of texture and abstraction.
