‘I like to see the world as an abstraction. I look at a random scene and let my mind transform it into abstract shapes and figures. When I transform a photographic scene into an abstract painting, it is never my goal to copy every detail of the original scene exactly. It is more important to capture the emotional and visual experience that the viewer feels when looking at it.’
