Lacquer Works Circus 001

Anna Beller is an experimental painter and architect from Berlin who works in Hanover. In her artistic practice, she explores color relationships and transparencies in various painting techniques.

Her “lacquer studies” navigate the tension between mechanical repetition and natural color flow. The conciseness and clarity of these “color streams” can be understood as a source of strength and inspiration.

The artist pours the paint without tools such as brushes or spatulas, allowing the pure act of painting to develop its own force, determined by gravity. Since 2023, this series of works has been continuously evolving, and her “lacquer works” are being collected both domestically and abroad.
