Nele-Marie Franzen is a German artist living and working in Hamburg. Her energetic, layered abstract paintings reflect a personality that is courageous, spontaneous, and constantly evolving. Working intuitively and experimentally, she explores large canvases and intense color worlds, pushing luminosity to its limits.

Her works develop over time through multiple layers, allowing details to emerge organically. Combining acrylics, oil paint, oil sticks, and pastels, she also experiments with unconventional tools—always in search of new and compelling contemporary compositions that burst of energy.
