Berlin-based artist Christian Awe celebrates togetherness in his new exhibition "love language". In Augsburg's Glaspalast, colorfulness, urbanity and monumental formats come together.
"I come from the street, if you will, I'm used to dialogue. Being social, human, celebrating good togetherness, that's me. I want to leave traces, give something, feeling, strength, love," says Christian Awe.
The artist was born in Berlin in 1978, was a graffiti sprayer, then a student of Georg Baselitz at the Berlin University of the Arts, later a master student of Daniel Richter. He absorbs impressions and moods to pour them out again in supposedly unfiltered color landscapes.
