Tomáš Jetela
Tomáš Jetela (1986) is a prominent representative of contemporary czech figurative painting. He focuses on portraits, figurative compositions or scenes of body fragments that fluidly mutate into abstract forms and structures. His work is distinctly dynamic and distinctive expressive gestures and color that deliberately moves away from reality. Inspired by his immediate surroundings, memories, popular culture or through the history of art, he creates diverse works brimming with emotion and penetrating psychologizing.
The artist lives and works in Prague. In the years 2005 – 2011, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he gradually worked in a painting and graphics studio.
