Susanne Lingeveldt is an abstract artist based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Through an abstract perspective, she incorporates memories and impressions from her personal life into her paintings. Her eyes are always looking for harmony, beauty, and unique compositions. She fell in love with acrylics due to its unpredictable ability to blend with other mediums on raw canvas. Her daily practice allows her to process experiences and emotions and to calm her busy mind. Mixing colors and performing intuitive movements on raw canvas are her form of meditation and making sense of life.

Susanne’s intuitive works feature layered washes and a variety of textures, creating movement and emotion through bold pigments stitched together with intuitive mixed media mark making. Her paintings are characterized by a harmonious color palette, which is occasionally complemented by bright and bold colors, inspired by the seasons and the playfulness of Cape Town’s most beautiful spots in summer.
