Five questions to Chriweno

Five questions to Chriweno

Christine aka Chriweno, was born in Germany in 1959. After her retirement from her profession as Natural Practitioner and Psychotherapist she started her studies at the Free Artschool Wiesbaden under the leadership of Dr. Michael Becker. This school is Bauhaus oriented and it is a great joy and challenge for her to develop her creative skills with such fundamental and precise basics. For her, artwork means heartwork. Her art deals with power, joy and lightness at the same time. She wants to inspire and support people, to give them simplicity and delight - what she feels while painting. The touch of playfulness and energy in her works should touch the people. How did you get into art?

It was ever since a wish to be talented enough to paint, but I never dared to do it. Then in my fourties‘ a nice lady read my palms and said, I would paint - so I started.

How would you describe your style? What makes your work special?

My artworks display colorful, bright and expressive figuratives and abstraction. I really know to play with the colors to expressive joy and happiness. How do you go about developing your work?

I go with my own flow. I develop my works for days ( and nights ) in my heart and head until I start painting. Who or what influences you?

My inspiration is love, nature, my new hometown in Andalusia and the wonderful colors of Asia, especially in the Himalaya and also buddhism.

Make us curious. What is planned next?

In December I will have a groupshow with the spanish  magazine Revistart at Artehos in Barcelona.

And for sure I will learn how to sculpture in the next months.Instagram
