Five questions to Hecth

Five questions to Hecth

Born in 1987 in Nuevo León, Mexico, Héctor has a diverse and impressive career and professional experience outside of the field of art. He has a PhD with a specialization in International Relations, Business and Diplomacy. However, both before and after his education, his passion for art has been a constant need in the form of diverse artistic expression. How did you get into art?

I was born into a family close to local musicians, where I discovered my passion for art at an early age. Curiosity and attraction to music and painting prompted me to experiment with different forms of artistic expression. It helped me to develop my own distinctive style in an environment diverse in both culture and the natural landscape. This resulted in a creative and expressive childhood, youth, and adulthood. Behind my work there is a deep and rich spiritual history that has guided me on this path towards artistic creation; philanthropy, spirituality and the desire to help people in need through my gift in art.

How would you describe your style? What makes your art special?

My style is diverse, I can use all around me to create art as I find art in everything, what makes it valuable is the story or context behind it, and where it comes from. My style and work its deep honest and full of meaning, a single yellow brush stripe can relate to the full story of my life. How do you go about developing your work?

It all begins with a feeling and attraction on a topic with important meaning for me and for the current situation in which we live.

I assign value and meaning to each color and shape depending on the emotional energy I feel at that moment, which gives representation to each element. I work with various mixed media to create composition and texture as i add layers of Paint, sometimes i add intrusive igneous rock dust or inorganic materials, the result is always exploratory abstract art.Who or what influences you?

People in need, vibes, feelings, love, hope, faith.

What are you planning to do next?

Philanthropy through art at the highest level possible to help those most in need, if I received this gift from God I must give something in return. My next collection its about celebration & gratitude, soft color palette to soften life.Instagram
