Ashkhen Vardanyan was born in Armenia in 1991. She studied at the Pedagogical Institute and completed her master's degree as an art teach there. Ashkhen has been working as an art teacher in schools for many years and has also been painting and showcasting her artwork for 10+ years. How did you get into art?

As they say, everything starts during childhood. At an early age, I was interested in art and everything about it. I entered art school, and after that, I found my voice in art and it became my music and means of communication with the world. I fell in love with it so much that fine art became more than just my profession.

How would you describe your style? What makes your work special?

A lot of time passed before I finally found my style - abstract expressionism. To get to this point, one needs to make a lot of mistakes, learn from them, and eventually find what suits you and tells your story. What comes naturally usually comes from the heart. A trademark of my style is color – a play with colors and shapes. Color affects shape, and shape affects color. How do you go about developing your work?

Development of my work involves studying other artists, getting to know them, visiting exhibitions, participating in exhibitions, and showcasing my own works. Receiving feedback is essential for development. For me, it's about being in the process of learning while still showing my art.Who or what influences you?

For me, as an artist, everything influences me, both the good and the bad. Everything has its influence. In general, life is the best inspiration. You decide from this what to add to your art. Inspiration will never end as long as life carries on.

Make us curious. What are you planning to do next?

I have plans for the future to create many works, to host an individual show, to visit many countries, to study other artists, to get to know them, and, in general, my goal is to share my art and be inspired by it (while inspiring others by it, too).Learn more about the artist:
