Torsten Trantow is a German artist. He works as a freelance illustrator and comic artist. In our five questions he introduces himself and his work.
How did you get into art?
As a state-certified graphic designer, I have been working as a freelance illustrator for 21 years and would like to expand my spectrum with abstract painting.
How would you describe your style? What makes your work special?
Perhaps the style of my work could be described as chaotic order. Bringing colors and textures together harmoniously.
How do you go about developing your work?
Each canvas is another attempt to let yourself be carried away by the creative process without any instructions.
Who or what influences you?
What influences me most in my work is the mood within myself. The canvas serves as an outlet for me and the work can undergo its creative transformations.
Make us curious. What are you planning to do next?
This year I plan to complete my 24th series. The program also includes three joint exhibitions in Barcelona, at the art fair in Rome and an exhibition in Camogli in Italy.
