We are pleased to welcome Paula del Rivero to New & Abstract. Paulas (born 1984 in Madrid) works range from heavily textured relief paintings, to digital works and textile pieces.
In her current practice, Paula is visually exploring what she calls “reality beyond the veil”, the field of information available beyond our limited five senses. She engages in an artistic process where she enters deep meditative states, which allow her to connect with otherwise inaccessible abstract data. During those states of altered consciousness, the information she taps into is mostly made of frequency and vibration, whose intangible form she then attempts to translate and give shape to in her pieces.
