We are pleased to welcome Tomáš Jetela to New & Abstract. Tomáš (1986) is a prominent representative of contemporary czech painting. He lives and works in Prague, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts.
The artist focuses on portraits, figurative compositions or scenes of body fragments that fluidly mutate into abstract forms and structures. His work is distinctly dynamic and distinctive expressive gestures and color that deliberately moves away from reality. Inspired by his immediate surroundings, memories, popular culture or through the history of art, he creates diverse works brimming with emotion and penetrating psychologizing.
